Johnpaul Ogomegbunam Okolie is the director of Ikenga Limited. A compliance professional and money laundering reporting officer with a legal background, he has years of experience across fintech, payments, trust and company services, and alternative investment platforms.
His work includes leading responses to Central Bank of Ireland AML inspections, preparing remediation plans and conducting enterprise-wide risk assessments. He advises boards and compliance teams on financial crime risks, regulatory expectations and the controls needed to address them.
He has worked with businesses under Central Bank of Ireland supervision and with trust and company service providers supervised by Ireland’s Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Unit. His legal training informs the way he interprets regulation and assesses practical compliance risks.
His experience also includes working with product and operational teams on onboarding design, transaction monitoring and third-party due diligence.
Professional qualifications & memberships
He holds the Licentiate of Compliance Institute (LCI) designation and is a member of IOB (The Institute of Bankers in Ireland) and the International Compliance Association (ICA).
His qualifications include a Professional Diploma in Compliance from IOB and an LLM in International Commercial Law.
